B.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the minutes of the February 3, 2025 Regular Meeting.

CONSENT AGENDA

 

All items listed on the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine or have been previously reviewed by the Town Council, and will be enacted in one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the General Order of Business, and considered in its normal sequence on the Agenda.

C.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from Gray Matter Marketing to conduct the 12th annual Ocean Road 10K road race to be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, subject to state and local regulations.

 

C.2 A MOTION TO APPROVE a Class F-1 Alcoholic Beverage License for the Narragansett Chamber of Commerce for the "Narragansett Restaurant Week Kick Off Party" fundraising event to be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at The Towers, 35 Ocean Road, Narragansett, R.I., subject to state and local regulations.

 

C.3 A MOTION TO APPROVE the waiver of interest for taxpayers in accordance with ordinance Section 70-90 "Waiver of interest on overdue quarterly property tax and utility payments."

D.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the filling of two (2) vacancies within the Wastewater Division due to resignation.

 

E.

PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

 

E.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the 2025 Middlebridge Marina rental slip rates at $800.00 per full slip and $600.00 for a sideslip for the 2025 season.

 

E.2 A MOTION TO APPROVE a three-year volleyball league agreement with Newport Volleyball Club, 270 Bellevue Avenue, Suite 240, Newport RI 02842 at the town beach, and AUTHORIZE the Town Manager to sign the agreement after review by the Town Solicitor.

 

F.

TOWN CLERK

 

F.1 A MOTION TO APPOINT one (1) Democrat Alternate Member and one (1) Republican Alternate member to the Board of Canvassers for a two-year term set to expire on March 1, 2027.

 

F.2 A MOTION TO APPOINT two (2) individuals to the Coastal Access Improvement Committee for 3-year terms set to expire on March 1, 2028, and CONFIRM the appointment of Mark Brady as the Planning Board representative for a term set to expire on March 1, 2028.

 

F.3 A MOTION TO APPOINT/REAPPOINT one (1) member to the Planning Board for a 5-year term set to expire on November 1, 2029.

 

G.

TOWN COUNCIL

 

G.1 A MOTION TO CREATE a sub-committee regarding Narragansett Resident parking in town and NOMINATE two Town Council members to serve on the committee.

 

G.2 A MOTION TO INTRODUCE, READ, PASS AND ACCEPT as a first reading an ordinance in amendment of Chapter 14, Article XVII - Solicitations, specifically section 14-601 - Hours.

 

G.3 A MOTION TO REFER the following proposed ordinance amendments of Appendix A entitled "Zoning" to the Town Clerk, the Planning Division, and the Planning Board for review and recommendation.
